Role and purpose

• Deliver projects in line with Dublin Bus project management standards and procedures
• Manage capital-funded projects within area of responsibility
• Act as a point-of-contact for property-related projects as required. • Lead project teams and ensure the projects deliver strategic objectives
• Responsible for reporting and compliance on capex projects in accordance with the governance requirements of the funding source (i.e. National Transport Authority (NTA), Coras Iompair Eireann (CIE) or Dublin Bus own-funded requirements)
• Comply with all relevant Data Protection legislation
• Comply with all Quality, Environmental, Energy, Sustainability, Health and Safety policies and procedures

    Role and purpose

    Dublin Bus is implementing an ambitious project in partnership with the National Transport Authority (NTA), to roll out the first all-electric buses to operate in Dublin’s public transport infrastructure. This project will bring very significant change to the organisation, requiring the implementation of new processes and procedures, including the use of new technologies, and the refinement of those procedures over time.

    Based on the initial pilot testing of the vehicles, it has been identified that an experienced business analyst is required to join the electrification programme team to support the effective implementation of operational changes.

    The successful candidate will work with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyse and document current and future operational processes and key performance indicators. They will collaborate across stakeholder groups to generate and document business requirements and operational impacts of new technologies, systems, and processes.

    Applications are invited from candidates who have:
    • NFQ Level 7-degree level qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
    • 5+ years’ experience in business analysis, to include process analysis and KPIs.
    • Experience supporting projects to deliver new technology, processes and ways of working.
    • Strong problem solving skills.
    • Strong relationship building skills.
    • Experience applying business analysis skills in a practical setting.
    • Analytics experience in a transport operations or logistics environment beneficial
    • Bring a highly structured approach to work, while maintaining flexibility and agility to changing priorities
    • Self-starter, able to work on their own initiative.
    • Strong written communication and documentation skills
    • Strong working knowledge of office 365 suite, in particular Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and additional Microsoft Office tools

      Project Safety Executive

      Role and purpose

      The Project Safety Executive will proactively support the Project Management Office (PMO) and project management teams to ensure the safety, health and welfare at work of all Dublin Bus employees is at the core of project delivery. Ensure the safety of premises, fleet and equipment in accordance with statutory requirements and Dublin Bus policy. Represent the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department in cross functional projects as required. Assist in investigation of accidents, generate accident reports and develop mitigation measures to prevent recurrence.

      • A relevant third level qualification in Health and Safety related field (Level 8 or above)

        Building Maintenance Engineer (Central Engineering)

        Role and purpose

        To provide support to the core function of the department, including maintenance of buildings and fixed equipment in depots and central locations.
        Provide support as required to the Executive Engineer
        Project management of capital funded projects within area of responsibility
        Comply with all Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
        Ensure compliance with all relevant Data Protection legislation

        Qualifications and experience

        Level 7 NFQ degree-qualified Engineer (Building Services Engineering preferable)
        Minimum of 8 years industry experience desirable, either from a construction contractor, building services consultancy or facilities management background
        Experience across mechanical, electrical systems in terms of design, standards, installation or maintenance (desirable)
        Experience in fuel distribution / storage systems an advantage
        Experience working directly on clients-own facility sites (desirable)
        Demonstrable experience of interfacing with contractors required
        Knowledge and experience of SAP MM (desirable)
        A knowledge of construction-related Health and Safety standards (desirable)
        Good working knowledge of Microsoft office suite including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
